67 Church blast victims discharged from Lady Reading Hospital

imagePESHAWAR: As many as 67 victims of deadly blast at a church in Kohati Gate area on Sunday, have been discharged from Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar after their condition were declared stable by doctors.

Syed Jamal Shah, a Spokesman of the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar told APP that 67 patients of the Church blast have been discharged while six others patients were shifted to others hospitals for treatment. He said 56 injured including 25 female, 31 male and 21 children were still admitted in LRH.

He said 78 victims were received dead and expired in LRH due to their critical condition. Later, their bodies were handed over to their relatives for burial. The dead also include 36 female, 42 male and seven children.

Emergency has been enforced in different wards of the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar and doctors on leave were called in for emergency duty soon after the deadly explosion. He said Chief Executive LRH, Dr. Arshad Javed was personally supervising the treatment process of the blast victims.

The LRH's administration has requested the relatives and well wishers of the victims to avoid unnecessary stay in wards for ensuring speedy and quick treatment to patients.
