44,377 metric ton wheat purchased from Faisalabad division

FAISALABAD: A total of 44,377 metric ton wheat has been purchased so far from Faisalabad division.

This was stated by Deputy Director Food Sardar Saif Ullah Khan Joya while talking to the media here on Thursday.

He said the government had set a target of purchasing 440,000 metric ton wheat from four districts of the division including Jhang, Faisalabad, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh.

He said out of set target, 10.54 percent wheat had been purchased while sufficient arrangements had also been made to accomplish the remaining target at the earliest.

He told ample stock of Bardana was present while its smooth distribution was in progress.
