rehman-malikKARACHI: Federal Interior Minister A. Rehman Malik on Wednesday said Karachi is the economic hub of the country and we want to maintain tranquility in the city.

He said this while talking to media during a visit to the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), at Azizabad here on Wednesday.

He further said "We share the grief of MQM on  the deaths of  its leaders, Liaquat Qureshi and Farooq Baig and other activists."

He said indiscriminate action will be taken against culprits involved in the violence in Karachi.

The Federal Interior Minister said police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies personnel are directed to get to the target and take action with out any discrimination.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Convener MQM Rabita Committee thanked Rehman Malik for visiting the headquarters of his party.
