KIEV: Grain exports from Ukrainian sea ports totalled 146,000 tonnes in April 1-19, or about 68 percent less than in the same period in March, analyst UkrAgroConsult said on Wednesday.
Ukraine operates more than 20 seaports mostly on the Black Sea.
UkrAgroConsult cited port data that Ukraine had exported 109,900 tonnes of maize and 36,130 tonnes of wheat so far in April.
Ukraine exported maize to Iran, Georgia, Turkey, Spain and Italy, while Ukrainian wheat went to Turkey and Georgia.
Grain exports from Ukrainian sea ports rose by about 9 percent to 678,050 tonnes in March compared with February, and maize dominated the shipments.
Ukraine's grain harvest fell to 39.2 million tonnes in 2010 from 46 million in 2009 after a severe drought. The government has said the harvest could rise to at least 42 million tonnes this year.
