ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Leader Dr Farooq Sattar Monday said that target killing has claimed several MQM workers' lives in Karachi.
Talking to reporters outside the parliament he said that some elements were trying to create law and order situation on linguistic basis in the city.
He said that Karachi was the business hub of the country and peace was vital in the city for development of the country, adding that MQM will support peace talks.
Replying to a question he said that MQM is ally of the government and help to strengthen democracy.
To another question he claimed that people of Punjab has welcomed MQM which is victory of the party, adding that MQM will fulfill the expectation of the people.
He said that MQM believed in politics of principle and there would be no compromise on national issues.
He welcomed announcement of Bahawalpur Awami party and expressed that MQM will support for restoring Bahawalpur as province.
