BEIJING: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived here early Monday morning leading a delegation comprising of parliamentarians, senators, investors and industrialists.
At the Beijing Capital International Airport, the Chief Minister and his delegation was received by Minister/Deputy Chief of the Mission at Pakistan Embassy Muhammad Hassan and senior diplomats.
The Director General of Bureau of International Department of Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Zhang Xuyi also welcomed the Chief Minister and members of his delegation on behalf of CPC.
After a brief talks with Zhang Xuyi, at the airport, the Punjab Chief Minister left to attend various official engagements.
"We are visiting China at the invitation of Community Party of China", Senator Pervaiz Rasheed told APP at the airport.
He pointed out "what we had seen China in the past, now it is transformed into more developed country".
Senator Rasheed said that being a close friend of China, Pakistan wish that this country should continue to make further development in all spheres of life.
He said that talks would be held during Chief Minister's visit for cooperation in various sectors including transport, roads and hydro power.
The 20-member delegation includes Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, parliamentarians, senators, investors and industrialists.
