Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, furnace oil steel coil and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, FOTCO Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Wednesday.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 35% at the port on Thursday where a total four ships namely CGM Rossini, M.V Apellis, M.T Akaki and M.V DL Ace are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, steel coil, furnace oil and edible respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 53,350 tonnes comprising 44,425 tonnes imports and 8,925 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 978 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
