13 retailers fined

FAISALABAD: The special price control magistrates conducted 31 raids in various parts of city during past 24 hours and booked 13 shopkeepers on the charges of profiteering, overcharging and non-display of rate lists in their shops.

A collective fine of Rs. 10,500 was also imposed on the shopkeepers.

A spokesman of the City District Government said here on Thursday that the price control magistrates conducted raids in Tandlianwala markets and imposed Rs. 4000 fine on 7 shopkeepers, while 2 shopkeepers were fined with Rs. 1500 in Sammundri and 4 shopkeepers with Rs. 5000 in Jaranwala.
