Upcoming Coke Studio season 9 is going to be very entertaining for the people in Pakistan, with 6 debut singers ready to bring change by including traditional and new songs, in the second week of August. Actor Junaid Khan is going to perform for first time; he is going to perform duet pop song, named ‘Mein Rasta’ with singer Momina Mustehsan.
While talking to a local media, Junaid said the experience of working with the music producer Ali Noor was quite entertaining. “I have seen Coke Studio growing with all these year. I was approached by Coke Studio in the first season but due to some reasons the plan was dropped off”.
He added, “Yeah, the format of the coke Studio had been fusion of old songs, but my song is different and unique surely audience will like it. The song is not a remake, it is a song which is completely new”.
The legendary singer Amjad Sabri who is no more between us, but he also recorded his last performance for the Coke Studio season 9, along with great Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. They have recorded ‘Aaj Rang Hai’ which is directed by jaffer Ali Zaidi.
Ali Khan is going to perform with Jaffer Zaidi who is the brilliant, music producer. Ali believes that he couldn’t have done the song, much better without him.
All the eight seasons of coke studio are full of female vocal power, with well known singers, which made listeners impressed so much. This season will also see actress Mehwish Hayat making her singing debut in August this year.
Other Pakistani singers like Umair Jaswal, Meesha Shafi, Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch, Sara Haider, Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal will also make their comeback in the Pakistani version of Coke Studio 9.
