imageLONDON: Nigeria's exports of its largest crude oil stream, Qua Iboe, are expected to rise in January, but valuable light sweet Bonny Light is on track to decline, export plans showed on Thursday.

Ten cargoes of Qua Iboe are planned for a total of 306,000 barrels per day (bpd) in January, up from 245,000 bpd in December.

Operator ExxonMobil lifted a force majeure on the grade in late October In contrast, the country plans to export five cargoes of Bonny Light, for a total of 139,000 bpd in January, a decline from December's initially planned 156,000 bpd. At least one of the December cargoes was pushed into January.

While the Bonny Light exports are well below the 218,000 bpd planned in January 2016, they have not fallen as much as some expected following the recent militant attack on the Nembe Creek Trunk Line that exports Bonny Light.

Some said the attack had not significantly impacted flows, but the constant stream of attacks and other issues has forced operators to continually change loading plans.
