imageDERA ISMAIL KHAN: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday became critical of Imran Khan's long march call and said Imran Khan was a shallow politician who lacked political acumen to resolve masses' issues.

According to him, Imran Khan, his party and government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa paid no heed to plight of internally displaced persons (IDPs) rather it was playing 'politics.'

All their attentions were focused on alleged rigging in four constituencies' of Punjab.

Addressing various local delegations here, he asked to ignore PTI chief's announcement of long march as it was only satiating Imran's personal agenda.

Fazl remarked that the march's call in the wake of IDPs issue is ironical as the country was already facing various challenges.

He said PTI also came to power in KP on basis of rigged polls, adding that poll issues should be left for the court of law to decide.

He said governments and political parties including JUI-F have always supported an independent Election Commission and no political party had ever tried to influence the election results of the Election Commission.

JUI-F Chief said the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not playing its due role in relief activities for the IDPs of North Waziristan, rather the federal and Punjab governments were engaged in assisting the IDPs.

He added his party was also in contact with the federal government and affected tribesmen for relief and rehabilitation of affected people.

Fazl ur Rehman lauded the hospitality of local people, also appreciating Akram Khan Durrani on celebrating Eid ul Fitr with affected people at camps.
