Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Three ships arrived at Port on Saturday 27th August 2011.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 64 percent at the Port on Friday where a total of ten ships namely M.V Saphir-II, M.V Afamia, M.V Ioanthi, M.V Tycon-II, M.V Glory, M.V MSC Venezuela, M.V Al Mirqab, M.T Long Champ, M.T Grace, M.V Gera Simos, are currently occupying berths to load/offload Cement, Containers, and Canola Seed, Palm Oil, Fertilizer during last 24 hours.
Cargo Handling Operations were carried out smoothly at the Port Qasim where a Cargo volume 57942 tonnes, comprising 31795 tonnes, imports and 26147 tonnes exports, Containers (Tues) 2456 was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
M.V Glory sailed on Friday evening, M.V MSC Venezuela, M.V Al Mirqab, M.V Gera Simos and M.T Long Champ Sailed on Saturday Morning.
M.T MY Kines (D-Palm Oil) at LCT expected to take berth on Saturday 27th August, 2011.
