LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday said the government was making sincere efforts to provide better facilities to the people.
He said this while talking to the heads of two Chinese companies at Railways Headquarters, here.
"The PML-N government wants progress and development of Pakistan Railways", he added.
He further said that recently work on track and other projects related to the infrastructure had been started under the Civil Engineering department of the railways and in future work on many more projects would be launched.
China Railway Construction Company (CRCC) Vice President Mr Huang and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC- ZIYANG CO.Ltd) President Ren Lijun met the Federal Minister while representing their delegations.
Both the heads of the Chinese companies assured of their support in future and also termed the meeting pleasant.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of both the companies presented souvenir to the Federal Minister on behalf of their companies.
PR Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Javed Anwar, PR Member Finance Ghulam Mustafa and other railway officials were also present.
