imaasdISLAMABAD: Industrialist and economist Mirza Ikhtiar Baig termed WTO's duty free access to 75 Pakistani products in EU markets as the government of Pakistan's great achievement.

Talking to a private news channel, he said WTO granted this facility to Pakistan for two years, which may be extended for further one year and Pakistan may export its additional products worth of 300 million euro annually.

Replying to a question, he said WTO's step will help Pakistan to boost its export especially textiles to encourage new investment, besides generation of new jobs in the country.

Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, president Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industries also said that WTO's decision to give Pakistani products duty free access to EU countries will help enhance Pakistani exports and will open new venues in EU for our exporters.

He said India withdrew its objection on the issue, which conveyed a good message of friendship between the two countries.
