ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday rang-up Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F) and lamented over the terrorist attacks during the public meeting of his party.
The Prime Minister, while strongly condemning the acts of terrorism, assured Maulana Fazalur Rehman of appropriate security measures for his safety.
The Prime Minister apprised him that he has already directed the Ministry of Interior to investigate the incidents and submit report.
Maulana Fazalur Rehman, the Prime Minister said, is one of the national leaders and would be given every possible security. Such cowardly acts of terror, the Prime Minister said, could not shatter the resolve of the nation to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
The Prime Minister expressed condolence over the death of innocent workers of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam and the police officials on duty. He also sympathized with those injured in the incident and directed the concerned for their proper medical treatment.
