KARACHI: A joint team of Pakistan Coast Guards and Pakistan Customs seized two oil tankers, carrying 49,000 liters oil smuggled from Iran, at zero point Coastal Highway Liyari.
Major Mazhar Hussain of Pakistan Coast Guard on Monday said the seized oil hold an approximate value of Rs.1,15,92,000.
"It was being transported from Ormara to Karachi," he said.
The Pakistan Coast Guard official said it was on basis of credible information that a special joint team was dispatched to abort the attempt and it managed to stop the suspected vehicles at zero point (Liyari Coastal Highway).
He said further information is underway by the joint Special Investigation Team.
