Government takes steps to prevent match fixing: Rehman Malik

Published Updated

KARACHI: Government has taken all measures to prevent match fixing, said Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday.

Talking to media at the provincial office of Crisis Management Cell, he said that it was the endeavour of the government not to repeat the case that happened in London involving several Pakistani players.

"All the phone calls of the players are being kept under observation in this regard," he added.

He also welcomed the measures taken by the Indian Government for security during the semi-final to be played by the two countries on Wednesday.
