Egyptian Treasury bill yields ease

CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian treasury bills declined at an auction on Sunday, and the central bank sold all the bills it offered, it said.

The average yield on 91-day bills slipped to 12.333 percent from 12.438 percent at last week's auction. The bank sold 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($163.5 million) o f the bills.

The average yield on 266-day bills fell to 12.953 percent from 13.090 percent at an auction two weeks ago, with the central bank selling 3.5 billion pounds of the bills.

The central bank sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry.
