ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is in process of forming committees in 2600 villages to create awareness about social mobilization "Waseela-e-Taleem".
The other aims of these committee would be ensure compliance and to monitor the overall results.
According to an official at BISP, during a six-month piloting phase, the social mobilization strategy will be formed and tested in five districts countrywide. After that, BISP will be able to launch Waseela-e-Taleem in 104 districts across the country.
Moreover, the BISP has also designed a conditional cash transfer programme in the light of latest data under which recipients will receive a cash grant if their children regularly attend school.
When contacted official at BISP said the basic idea to initiate this project is, that ownership, responsibility and sustainability. will rest with the mothers themselves.
