LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 6.46 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3629.44 and closed at 3622.98 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.912 million shares to close against previous turnover of 7.074 million shares, showing a downward slide of 5.162 million shares. While, out of the total 100 active scrips 21 moved up, 55 remained equal and 24 shed values.
Habib Bank Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.20, Rs 3.05 and Re 0.72 respectively.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.95, Rs 2.52 and Rs 2.42 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 338,165 shares, D.G. Khan Cementy Company with 189,050 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 177,326 shares.
