Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) futures extended losses on Friday into a sixth straight session, marking the biggest weekly loss since 2011, amid fears that a spreading virus in China may cut demand in the world's top rubber buyer.
TOCOM's rubber contract for June delivery finished down 8.8 yen, or 4.6%, at 182.2 yen ($1.66) per kg, scoring the lowest close in more than two months. For the week, it booked an 11.6% plunge, the first decline in five and the biggest weekly drop since November 2011.
