LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 12.04 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3743.33 and closed at 3731.29 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 9.168 million shares to close against previous turnover of 8.699 million shares, showing an upward move of 468,563 shares. While, out of the total 98 active scrips 17 moved up, 47 remained equal and 34 shed values.
Lucky Cement Limited, United Bank Limited and Muslim Commercial Bank Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.75, Rs 4.12 and Rs 4.02 respectively.
Adamjee Insurance Company, Engro Foods Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation lost their per share value by Rs 3.70, Rs 1.88 and Rs 1.23 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included IGI Investment Bank Limied with 1.713 million shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 1.357 million shares, and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.339 million shares.
