Govt striving to ensure development of backward areas: CM

The chief minister said funds of development projects were being distributed on the basis of likes and dislike pers

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Jam Kamal Khan Tuesday said the provincial government was striving to ensure development of backward areas and provision of facilities including healthcare, education and road construction projects in remote areas for prosperity of public.

He shared these views while addressing at ceremony of inauguration of road scheme in Kanraj area of Lasbella district, said press release issued here.

Tribal elders, political leaders and administration officials were present on the occasion.

The chief minister said funds of development projects were being distributed on the basis of likes and dislike personalities in past government so therefore, billions of rupees schemes were still uncompleted in the areas.

He said in this regard, we have determined that these pending schemes would be completed for progress of province and resources of the areas could not be wasted, saying we wish to provide best infrastructure facilities to Kanraj area and completion of road constructions would be ensured in the respective areas including 23 Km road construction of Sahib Khan Goth area for beneficial of people.

Jam Kamal khan said project of two dams would be commenced soon for addressing issues of water in the area and Insha Allah would set up an example of public serving in Lasbella and other areas of province.

He said we have aware about unemployment of the province because levies, police and other posts of sectors have been advertised, saying recruitment process would be started soon in respective areas for decreasing poverty line from Balochistan.

"He brought ministers and secretaries of Communications and Livestock Departments along with his for visiting of the areas so that representatives and secretaries to get information problems of remote areas in order to make better plans for development of backward areas from Quetta", Chief Minister said.

The CM also announced for establishment of Girls’ High School and creation of RHC in Kanraj, to give Boys School as status of Secondary.

Earlier, the chief minister laid the foundation of stone of Road construction project at Sahib Khan Goth to Abdul Haman Goth at a cost of Rs. 200 million in Kanraj.

Executive Engineer of Communication and Development Behram Gichki briefed the Chief Minister Balochistan about projects.

Jam Kamal and other provincial minister was received by Deputy Commissioner Kalat Division Hafiz Muhammad Tahir, Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Shabir Ahmed Mengal and tribal elders in Kanraj.

They also presented traditional Ajrak Chadars to CM Balochistan and other guests on the occasion.
