Five persons of a family on Saturday shot dead over property dispute in Gujar Garhi area in Mardan district. Police said the victims include a woman, her three sons and a granddaughter. They said the suspects managed to escape afterwards as heavy contingents of police reached the incident spot.
According to the officials, the suspects and the victims are cousins and the murders have been committed owing to a dispute over a house. Further investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, At least 15 people were killed and several others wounded in an incident of firing in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per the details, the firing incident occurred over old enmity when the armed men from opposite groups opened indiscriminate firing, killing at least 15 persons and leaving several others injured.
The bodies and injured people were shifted to DHQ hospital Tank for medico legal formalities. Briefing the media on the incident, Deputy Commissioner Tank Fahad Wazir said that the incident occurred between Inam Marwat and Bunty Group, which resulted in the killing of at least 15 persons.
According to initial reports, he said Inam group targeted innocent citizens. Fahad Wazir said that further investigation into the incident is underway, adding that medical treatment was being provided to the injured men.
