CDGL establishing fruit, vegetable market

LAHORE: The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) is establishing a modern fruit and vegetable market at Kacha, said District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, on Friday.

He was addressing a meeting regarding Kacha fruit and vegetable market, disclosed an official.

Mengal said that transparency would be ensured in allotment of shops in the market. He directed the officials concerned that the construction work should be completed as early as possible and all concerned departments should have close liaison for its early completion.      

He also said roads connecting to the market should be completed by May 30. He also directed the concerned officials to utilize all available resources to facilitate the shopkeepers. He further directed them to device a criteria for allotment of shops.
