NAWABSHAH: Strike was observed on the call of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) to mourn the death of its party chief Bashir Khan Qureshi. All trading centres, markets and shops remained closed on Wednesday.
The city gave a deserted look as the schools were closed and examinations of classes 9 and 10 were cancelled.
The JSQM activists took out a rally, which terminated at Nawabshah Press Club.
The local and inter-city transport remained off the road while traffic on motorway remained thin.
