Toll from Easter Sunday attack in Nigeria hits 36

KANO: The death toll from an attack near a church in the northern Nigerian city ofKaduna on Easter Sunday has risen to 36, an official said on Monday.

"Thirty-six people died in all from the blast. Twenty died on the spot while 16 others died on admission to hospital," Abubakar Zakari Adamu, spokesman for Kaduna state's emergency management agency said of Sunday's attack, reportedly carried out by a suicide bomber driving an explosives-packed vehicle.
