Zardari and Manmohan Singh agree to promote bilateral relations

zaradri-manmohan NEW DELHI: President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Sunday discussed all bilateral issues and agreed to further improve and promote these ties.

The Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh accepting the invitation of President Zardari to visit Pakistan and said that the dates for his visit will be finalised later on.

The talks were held at the Prime Minister House here before the luncheon reception hosted for President Zardari by the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while talking to newsmen after this half an hour one on one meeting said, "President Zardari and I have discussed all bilateral issues between India and Pakistan."

He said, "President Zardari is on a private visit and I have taken advantage of this visit to discuss all bilateral issues and I am very satisfied with the outcome of this visit."

He said President Zardari has also invited him to visit Pakistan and he will be very happy to visit Pakistan on mutually agreed convenient dates.

Dr. Manmohan Singh said, "The relations between India and Pakistan should become normal and that is our common desire."

He said, "We have a number of issues and we are willing to find tactical and pragmatical solutions to all these issues and that is the message President Zardari and I wish to convey."

President Asif Ali Zardari said, "We had very fruitful bilateral talks together."

He said, "India and Pakistan are neighbours, we like to have better relations with India."

President Zardari said, "We spoke on all topics that we can, and meet on Pakistan's soil very soon."

Also convey message of good will and blessing to people of India saying "I would like to wish to the people of India Asalamu Alicum from the President of Pakistan".

The President said, "I am grateful to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India who invited me on lunch although I am on private visit to India."
