LAHORE: Federal Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar said on Saturday the industry would soon be exempted from power loadshedding.
Briefing the media about a meeting of business leaders with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Governor's House, he said that from Monday industrial units which had their own feeders or where there was no load of other consumers than the industry would be exempted from loadshedding.
He said that several issues including policy matters had been discussed and the leadership informed the president about their problems, to which the president assured them that their issues would be resolved on priority.
Federal Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Chairman All Pakistan Textile Mills Association Ejaz Gohar and other leaders were also present.
