ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will soon issue bonds in the capital market, said advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, adding the government is working on comprehensive economic plan to provide relief to the people.

While talking to media after speaking at the inaugural session of First Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Capital Market Regulators Forum on Thursday, the advisor stated that the government is working aggressively to improve ease of doing business in the country, which would facilitate the foreign investors.

The present government, he said gave a message to the international community by going to the IMF programme that it is serious to pursue economic and fiscal discipline in the country.

The present government inherited a massive debt burden and consequently there was increase in debt servicing for which it would be unfair to be blamed for adding more debt.
