ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country has slightly reduced 3500 MW from 4000 MW as the total generation on Wednesday was recorded as 11,704 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to the daily load management report, the hydel generation stood at 2536 MW, WAPDA thermal 1879 MW and IPPs 6289 MW during the said period.
As many as 740 MW electricity was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report further said.
The hydel generation has significantly reduced due to less water inflow in all major rivers and dead level water reserves at Tarbela and Mangla dams, a PEPCO official told APP here.
