KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sharmeela Farooqui on Wednesday helped in the release of nurses and paramedical staff who were arrested while protesting for their rights.
Talking to media on the occasion, Ms Farooqui said that she has also promised nurses and paramedical staff for requesting Sindh Chief Minister for resolving their genuine problems.
She said that every citizen has the right to raise the voice for the rights, but the police action was taken due to presence of Section 144 in the city in Red Zone.
Sharmeela said the country is facing the challenges like terrorism and other criminal activities and therefore as a peace loving and law abiding citizen it is their duty to follow the law.
She also listened to the demands of nurses and paramedics regarding allowances and suggested them to submit these demand in a draft for onward submission to Chief Minister.
The Advisor said she will also talk to Health Minister for the redressal of their problems.
