ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said that the President in his address to joint sitting of the Parliament openly discussed all challenges including economic problems of the country.
Talking to APP at the Parliament House, the minister said, the President touched all aspects of the problems and gave a policy statement to steer the country out of these crisis in future.
Bilour said that the President very clearly spoke about having good ties with all neighbours countries and specifically insisted on maintaining good relations with the USA besides strengthening our position internationally.
He said the President also recalled achievements of the government during the last four years with specially focusing on the 20 Constitutional amendment after which a transparent, free and fair elections would be held in the country under the cover of a caretaker set up.
MNA from FATA, Syed Akhunzada Chattan said that extensions of political parties act and amendments in Frontiers Crimes Regulations(FCR) were the landmark achievements of the present governments for people of FATA.
He said that the restoration of 1973 constitution to its original form and strengthening of democratic institutions were the dividends of democracy and reconciliation policy of the government. He said democracy was the only way to steer the country out of the crisis.
