shahi-syed-400HYDERABAD: The President Awami National Party Sindh Senator Shahi Syed has demanded census under supervision of Army and delimitation of the constituencies before the general elections in Pakistan.  Addressing a public meeting at Bacha Khan Chowk here on late Friday night, Senator Shahi Syed emphasized the need of preparation of voters' list on the basis of census and delimitation of constituencies.

He said that the holding of free, fair and impartial general elections could only be possible after census and after that whosoever elected member national and provincial assemblies, the ANP would have no objection.  He said that the people are aware that who are supporting "Bhatta and "Thappa" mafias, but despite the fact, the ANP wanted to address all issues through negotiations and understandings.

He emphasized the need of the launching of indiscriminate operation against terrorists and deweaponization of the province including Karachi so that the people could take sigh of relief.

Shahi Syed maintained that the people of Khaiber-Pakhtunkhawa had played their due role for creation of Pakistan as the British Rule was not eliminated in the region if the forefathers of the people of this province not struggled against the occupiers. The bread earners of this province are striving hard for earning money instead of depending on extortion, he said.

Among others, Sindh Labour Minister Ameer Nawab, Aurangzeb Khan, Qamous Gul Khatak, Shahid Khan and Javed Khan also addressed the public meeting.
