PM greets Irish counterpart on National Day

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to Prime Minister of Republic of Ireland, Enda Kenny on their National Day (St. Patrick's Day) falling on March 17.

In his message, the Prime Minister said, "It is my great pleasure to convey on my own behalf and on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, our most cordial felicitations to the Government and people of Ireland on the auspicious occasion of St. Patrick's Day."

Pakistan and Ireland enjoy warm friendly relations marked by mutual understanding and beneficial cooperation, he said adding Pakistan looks forward to further strengthening and promoting its ties with Ireland.
