Helicopter crashes in Kabul, 5 dead: police

KABUL: Five people were killed on Friday when a helicopter crashed and burst into flames on the outskirts of the Afghan capital Kabul, police said.

"A helicopter has crashed onto a house in Bagrami district. So far five bodies have been recovered," Kabul police chief Mohammad Ayoub Salangi told AFP.

A spokesman for NATO forces in Kabul said they were aware of reports that a helicopter had crashed but did not know whether it was a military aircraft.
