KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 18,739.49 points with a negative change of -423.69 and volume of 75,476,000 shares. High and Low were 19,304.72 and 18,529.45 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 1 were up, 29 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 113,235,730 shares. Total companies traded were 328 of which 38 were positive, 281 were negative and 9 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,502,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 16,003,400 shares.

The top three advancers were Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 3,180 and price per share of 2,311.94 (110.09), Faisal Spinning Mills Limited with a volume of 1,100 and price per share of 252.55 (12.02), Archroma Pakistan Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 514.50 (9.50).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,510 (-340.00), Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,486.50 (-183.50), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 23,040 and price per share of 1,051.79 (-55.35).
