Poland's 2011 budget gap fell PLN 25.1bn

WARSAW: Poland's 2011 budget deficit fell to 25.1 billion zlotys ($8.00 bln) from 44.6 billion the previous year, with revenue at 277.6 billion zlotys, the finance ministry said on Wednesday.

For 2012, Poland envisages its budget gap, a narrower measure than the general government deficit followed by the European Union excluding shortfalls of local governments and state agencies, at 35 billion zlotys.

Poland wants to push its wider public finance deficit to below the EU's ceiling of 3 percent of GDP this year.
