LIMA: Peru's central bank said it bought $141 million in the local spot market on Tuesday but the sol still ended 0.04 percent stronger, bidding 2.669 per US dollar.
The central bank has bought dollars nearly every day in recent months to curb volatility as the sol trades around its strongest level in 15 years, helped by the Andean country's fast-growing economy.
