PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Sunday that terrorists while taking the lives of innocent people in bomb blasts and suicide attacks are in fact fulfilling the evil designs of enemy and the government was ready to foil their evil agenda with power of people.
In a press statement here, the minister while strongly condemning suicide attack in a funeral prayer at Badabair said that a Muslim could not even think about targeting innocent people and worshipers in mosques and funerals.
He said that Islam is the religion of peace, harmony and fully protect the lives, properties and respect of others. He said that it was unfortunate that some opportunists are creating law and order situation through miscreant's activities and are disgracing the Pakhtuns and Islam.
"The people are well aware about the evil tactics of these opportunists and will not pay any attention to these elements seeing the dream of ruling on gun point and terrorism", he added.
Mian Iftikhar said the people are fully cooperating with the government and security agencies and with their cooperation terrorists would be eliminated. The Information Minister vowed to continue struggle till elimination of the last terrorist and establishment of durable peace on our soil.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of martyrs and early recovery of the injured.
