IHC to hear Nawaz's appeal in Al-Azizia Steel Mills case on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday will hear Nawaz Sharif’s appeal challenging his imprisonment sentence in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference.

The former prime minister’s legal team has submitted a miscellaneous application to the IHC seeking Nawaz exemption from hearing due to his health issues. The medical certificate of former prime minister issued by Sharif Medical City has also been attached with the plea.

The petition states that the top court had granted six-week bail to Nawaz Sharif for medical treatment. Owning to his medical situation, the former prime minister is not able to appear before the bench on Wednesday.
