ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Thursday approved to increase the power tariff by Rs. 0.81 KWh on account of fuel price adjustment for the month of February.
Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) in a petition had asked to increase Rs 1.23 per unit in power tariff for the month of February under monthly fuel adjustment formula.
In a petition submitted to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the CPPA-G maintained the cost of per unit remained at Rs 5.2014/kWh against the reference fuel charges of Rs 3.9710/ kWh per unit fixed for February.
A total 6,425.29 Gwh electricity was generated during the said period and the hydel share stood at 22.77 per cent, coal 17.46 per cent, Furnace Oil 1.68 per cent, Gas 23.85 per cent, RLNG 16.89 per cent, nuclear 11.13 per cent wind 3.18 per cent and Baggasse 1.47 per cent.
