SWABI: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Wednesday said PTI government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was implementing the vision of transforming Pakistan into a true Islamic welfare state. He said the government was aware of the problems being faced by the people and would utilize all available resources to facilitate by providing them all basic facilities at their door step.
He was addressing a MoU signing ceremony between Pakistan Baitul Mall and Swabi University here as a chief guest. The students of Swabi university would get Rs 5 million free scholarships under the agreement.
PBM on the request of Speaker National Assembly would give scholarships worth Rs 5 million to each Gajoo Khan Medical College Swabi and Women University for deserving and outstanding students. Asad Qaiser said that that new labs are being constructed at Swabi university at a cost of Rs 2 billion and measures would be taken to make it best institute of higher education in the country.
He emphasized upon University faculty to introduce market oriented couses in all disciplines so that the youth could get better employment opportunities after completing their studies. Earlier, Managing Director PBM Aoun Abbas and Vice Chancellor Swabi University Dr Imtiaz Ali Khan inked the agreements.
