NAB receives number of complaints about land frauds

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi Director General Brig (Retd.) Farooq Naser Awan on Thursday sent number of complaints about land related frauds for the Complaint Verification (CV).

The complaints were submitted by citizens during an open court (Khuli Kachehri) held at the NAB Karachi office.

A large number of complainants submitted their applications regarding land frauds committed by government officials in connivance with private persons. A number of complainants also lodged complaints against Cooperative Societies Managements. The complaints were forwarded for verification against various departments, builders and local government entities for initiation of prompt actions as per National Accountability Ordinance 1999.

The complaints which do not come under the ambit of NAB were transferred to concerned departments with the directions to resolve the grievances according to law.

DG NAB appreciated the overwhelming response of general public. Open courts will also be conducted every last Thursday of each month at NAB office.
