ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the political career of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari had ended.
"I don’t see the politics of Nawaz and Zardari in this country now because both the leaders had been facing corruption cases," he stated while talking to a private news channel.
Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif would not deposit anything in the national exchequer but Zardari could make a deal and go for plea bargain, he added.
Commenting on Nawaz Sharif’s release from jail on bail for six weeks, he said the PML-N leader could not stay longer in the jail because he was the weakest politician of the country.
In reply to a question regarding Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman, he said the decision regarding making Shahbaz Sharif the PAC chairman was not appropriate and he was not consulted in that regard.
To a question, the federal minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan was an honest person and the PTI government would complete its five year tenure.
