At least five Christian employees of CDA to proceed Vatican city this year

ISLAMABAD: At least five Christian employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will proceed to Vatican City for performing their religious ritual on the expense of the Authority.
The computerized balloting was carried out amongst Christian employees of the Authority here at the CDA Headquarters on Monday.
The balloting ceremony was also attended by Chief Commissioner, ICT / Chairman CDA, while Member Estate, Director General (Administration) of the Authority, General Secretary, CDA Labour Union (CBA) and office bearers of Union were also present in the ceremony.
Chairman CDA punched the computer key for initiating balloting and congratulated the employees declared successful in the draw.
On this occasion, Chairman, CDA said Christian community played a vital role in the development of the federal capital and deserves appreciation for the services they rendered to keep the city in tidy condition while preserving its green identity.
Chairman, CDA further said Islam is protecting the right of minorities and also grant them equal opportunity to participate in their religious rituals as every citizen has the right to profess, participate and propagate his religion freely.
It is pertinent to mention here that CDA also gives pay bonus to Christian employees regularly on the eve of Easter and Christmas.
Moreover, to share the joys of religious festivities of Christian community, CDA organizes Christmas and Easter Festival and many other programs for their entertainment.
All successful five employees (four male and one female) in draw will proceed for Vatican City this year.
