LAHORE: PPP Deputy Parliamentary Party leader in the Punjab Assembly Shoukat Mehmud Basra said on Tuesday that the PPP government would present people-friendly budget for the fiscal year 2012-13.
Talking to this news agency at Punjab Assembly,he said the party leadership believes in serving masses and it had initiated a number of welfare projects for peoples' welfare. He stressed that PPP would write 'history' by presenting the unprecedented fourth budget in a row.
"People knew the government inherited issues like load-shedding and gas shortage after a dictator-led government", he said, and added that such issues would soon be overcome.
To a question, Shoukat Basra said President Asif Ali Zardari had clear policy on Balochistan issue and flayed those elements trying to take advantage by politicising the issue.
He said politics of mismanagemment of Sharif brothers and their waning popularity would be exposed in the next elections.
To another question, PPP stalwart said the government was going to fulfill its promise by holding Senate polls on time.
