KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Friday at 22,927.22 points with a negative change of -286.97 and volume of 119,871,400 shares. High and Low were 23,311.41 and 22,854.42 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 3 were up, 25 were down and 2 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 169,100,460 shares. Total companies traded were 336 of which 81 were positive, 233 were negative and 22 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 26,123,000 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 20,468,300 shares.

The top three advancers were Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 150 and price per share of 792 (13.00), Sunrays Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 229.42 (10.92), Pakistan International Container Terminal Limited with a volume of 4,900 and price per share of 227.64 (6.63).

The top three decliners were Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,900 (-100.00), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 460 and price per share of 1,105 (-43.00), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 17,920 and price per share of 1,289.27 (-23.47).
