DSJ Malir orders release of 17 prisoners

KARACHI: The District and Sessions Judge Malir Imdad Hussain Khoso ordered release of 17 prisoners from Malir jail on Saturday.

The DJ accompanied by Judicial Magistrates Muhammad Ashfaq Mughal during his visited to the jail was apprised that 17 prisoners had completed their sentence but were still in jail because of inability to pay their fine amount.

Chairman, Saiban Welfare Organization Haq Nawaz Akhtar who was also present on the occasion deposited the amount on behalf of the prisoners and got them released.

The DJ also visited various barracks, met the prisoners and listened to their problems and assured them of speedy justice.
