Civil Aviation Authority Director General Hassan Baig on Saturday visited Allama Iqbal International Airport. Airport Manager Tahir Sikander briefed the DG about different functions and facilities of airport. Prior to briefing the DG also visited operational areas and facilities like radar, control tower, runways, apron and passenger terminal building.
While appreciating the existing services at the airport, he stressed upon the need to further improve them and bring them at par with the international standards. He added that providing world-class services and facilities to passengers is one of the foremost responsibilities of the Civil Aviation Authority.
Baig also visited the expansion project site, where he was briefed about the detailed plans of the project by the Project Manager Major Aizaz. He expressed his satisfaction over the progress of the project and further emphasized the timely completion of the project. He directed the project team to prioritize the completion of approach roads in order to provide the general public easy access to and from the airport.
